We met a few weeks ago at the Carp Garlic Festival (I'm the triplet mom!)
In any case, for the Light Facial Moisturizer, I'd like to share that I use this daily in the morning as a refreshing spritz that really gets me going! My sensitive skin feels soft and moisturized immediately. I use it again to set my make-up after application, which gives my skin a fresh, dewy look. Another spritz finishes my day - it absorbs so quickly, and I don't have to rub it in. Fast, effective and easy! Following a suggestion from Bonnie, I also use it to tame my frizzy hair on humid days. The moisturizer is not greasy and doesn't weight my hair down. Rather, it leaves a little bit of shimmer and excellent frizz control! I love the versatility of this product.
For the Healing Cream with Calendula, I'd like to share that I use this daily before bed as a soothing salve for my face and hands. It isn't heavy or greasy, and rubs into my skin within seconds, leaving a light, citrusy scent. When I was pregnant, I used it on my belly every night. It was part of a special ritual that I found relaxing and very helpful in relieving my dry, stretched skin. Once my babies were born, I've used it to control eczema and diaper rash. It really is my go-to cream for everything! After my post-partum doula saw how effective it was in managing eczema, she got some herself and recommended it to other friends and clients. I personally think there's no better testimonial than that!

I started buying Body Shop products decades ago when the shops first came to Canada and the company was seen as the healthy alternative for personal care products. When the government began requiring the ingredients be listed on the containers, I was absolutely shocked at how many ingredients with long, complicated and unpronounceable sounding names were listed on the Body Shop products. I was also surprised and disconcerted that they listed the ingredients under a removable sticker so that they were hidden. Then I started hearing about the dangers of the ingredients put in many personal care products. I even went to a David Suzuki Foundation lecture on "the dirty dozen" - the worst 12 of the toxic ingredients in personal care products. In a study that the Foundation did, 80% of personal care products contained at least one of these ingredients. I was putting toxins on my body while I put organic food into my body and use natural products to clean my house and clothes. Instead of doing research about the chemicals that are listed on the products to try and figure out what is safe, I decided to start looking for alternatives. I began going to craft fairs and bought a few different natural personal care items from different crafters.
And that's how I discovered mains de mariposa. I bought a few of mains de mariposa products at a craft fair and absolutely loved them. They work incredibly well, feel luxurious and have a short list of pronounceable and recognizable ingredients. But the best thing about mains de mariposa is Bonnie. She is personable and engaging, goes out of her way to provide service in the most gracious and accommodating way imaginable, and is so incredibly knowledgeable about her products and the ingredients she uses. For example, she doesn't just make one hand cream and put different fragrances in it so that it appeals to different people. She carefully researches ingredients and formulates each hand cream product to do a different job. I am so very lucky that I found her!

I’m a real junkie for beauty products and have tried creams from Yves Rocher, the Body Shop, the drugstore – everywhere, and this is the best cream EVER! Not only is the texture thick and creamy to make it super effective in moisturizing my skin, it doesn’t have a strong scent so those in my workplace who have environmental sensitivities are not affected. I was so itchy and uncomfortable from scratching myself from my dry skin. No more! And the cream works really fast, too – almost immediately. I went to have a manicure on Friday and my esthetician thought my cuticles were in great shape –the best ever! Thanks to the cream!
I also have tried the lavender body scrub and it is great too! The lavender scent is very natural smelling and fresh!
I cannot wait to check out your web site to see ALL your products.

I am a 19 year old male who has used Bonnie's bath salts most of my teen years. Now I am away at university and the worst thing about living in residence is that there are no bath tubs. But I took some of Bonnie's bath salts and will borrow a bath somewhere so I can relax from studying and tests.

I have been using the cream "Healing Cream with Calendula" daily for a year now and I loved it. This cream is the only one that helps me control my dry skin and eczema. Last year, I burnt one of my fingers. I used Healing Cream with Calendula all day; amazing result!
